Manual Overdrive Option (mazda 3)

Question

I just bought a mazda 3, and it came with not only an automatic tranny but with a "manual option." There is an "m" located below the "D," and I have no clue how to use this. Sorry for being so naive. What's going ooon?

It lets you downshift or up-shift a gear whenever you need to. You can always try it out while driving and I believe you will understand the function in no time.

it has a tiptronic automatic transmission, to use it all you do is move the shifter into M and there should be a + and - sigh to shift up move the shifter torwards the + and to down shift move it torwards the - sign



and don't worry it won't let you damage the engine or transmission
