lies with Bayern Munich’s progress during the remaining course of the campaign.
The goalkeeper reserved praise for the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Royal-95-c40387 Blues on having a exemplary first-half, and is eager to see his former teammates performing consistently. He stated that it would be heartwarming to see the Royal Blues continue playing
like they did before.
Neuer appreciated the quality in Schalke ranks this season, and believes that the Veltins-Arena outfit could surpass the Borussians at the end of this season.
While talking to UEFA.com, the German international further elaborated:
“I didn't say I'm a fan of Schalke at the moment. I have my fingers crossed for my former team-mates at Schalke, and of course I want Schalke to be successful – it's a club where I played for 20 years, where I basically know everybody
who works there, and where I myself worked every day. That's why I prefer to see Schalke at the top rather than Dortmund.”
On the other hand, the shot stopper stressed at the importance of having a compact defence which will help Bayern win this season’s Bundesliga. He also expressed his confidence in the club’s attack, insisting that the Bavarians
possess the perfect mix to challenge for the league title at the end of the season.
“But it is important that we keep a clean sheet. And knowing our quality in attack, we can score goals – that's why the first part of the season ended as it did,” Neuer concluded.
Bayern are currently atop the league table with 37 points, three points clear of Borussia Dortmund and Schalke. Their next test would be against Lucien Favre’s Borussia Monchengladbach at the Borussia Park on Friday.
