Manuel Neuer admits mistakes cost Bayern in the LIGA total! Cup clash against Hamburg
Bayern Munich goalkeeper http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Manuel-Neuer-c23424 has admitted that his mistake had cost the team in the semi-final of the LIGA total! Cup on Tuesday. The Bavarian giants lost the semi-final 2-1 against Hamburg SV and both the opposition goals resulted in mistakes from Bayern players.

Neuer admitted that his side didn’t play up to their potential. He stated that the team did not pay attention and mistakes cost them the match.
“We did not pay attention in some situations and thus conceded our goals,” he was quoted as saying in an interview.
The former Schalke player insisted that his side wanted to win and accepted that the first goal was because of his mistake in front of goal. The player stated if he had been standing a metre forward, he would have easily collected the ball but the mistake gave Son a chance and the Korean made no mistake.
“Of course we wanted to win and did well in our lead-up play, but we did not use our early chances on goal. Then of course came the 1-0, where I made a mistake; had I been a metre further, I would have picked up the loose ball,” he continued.
The shot stopper rued missed chances in the fixture and added that if the attackers had played to their potential, the Bavarians would have easily qualified for the final of the competition.
“And then the second error happened, which led to the 2-0, because we weren't paying attention. But if we had taken our chances, we would have won this game,” the 25-year old concluded.
Borussia Dortmund downed http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/1-FSV-Mainz-05-c38166 in the other semi-final and Bayern Munich will now face Thomas Tuchel’s side in the third place match.
