Manuel Neuer transfer saga: Schalke 04 not willing to overpay for a replacement – Bundesliga news

summer transfer window Bayern Munich would be his most likely destination.
For the past few weeks, Schalke 04 have been linked with a host of goalkeepers who might replace the 25-year-old. Kaiserslautern keeper Kevin Trapp, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ron-Robert-Zieler-c31761 are among the goalkeepers who have been
linked to a possible move to the Gelsenkirchen-based club. Despite rumours suggesting that the Royal Blues would get substantial amount of money from whichever club that buys Neuer, Tonnies has made it clear that the club would not be held to ransom.
While talking to the media, the chairman said, "We will not be milked. Even though we will have a few million from the sale of Neuer, we will not just throw the money immediately out the window. We will not allow ourselves to be ripped off."
Tonnies further criticised Kaiserslautern and Hannover management for trying to exploit Schalke by increasing asking price for their respective goalkeepers.

also admitted that 22-year-old keeper Zieler would cost around 10 million Euros. The president said that the club is determined to keep hold of the former Manchester United goalkeeper and will let him go only if a significant offer arrives.
While talking to German sports magazine, Bild, Herr Kind said, "We will only start to talk about a double-digit transfer fee. Of course it is an unrealistic sum of money but then it is supposed to discourage others," thus making it clear that the club would
do whatever it takes to chase-off any likely suitors.
