Manulife LPGA Classic 2012: Karrie Webb seeks to get back on track in current season

World Hall of Famer, Karrie Webb, desperately wants to get back on track, as she vowed to do her best at the Manulife Financial LPGA Classic 2012, scheduled to be held from June 21-24, at Waterloo, Ontario,
Canada.
Webb, the most successful Australian female golfer, has been a prominent star on the LPGA (Ladies Professional Golf Association) Tour. However, she is now struggling to regain her lost glory.
The 37-yaer-old Aussie participated in the second major of the 2012 season, Wegmans LPGA Championship 2012, with plenty of confidence, as she finished in the top 10.
The major tournament featured several leading players such as the current world number one Yani Tseng, world number two Stacy Lewis, Suzann Pettersen, Paula Creamer, Lexi Thompson and Ai Miyazato.
However, the veteran prodigy remained firm against top-ranked contenders and did her best. Although she faced trouble making her trademark shot on some holes, she managed to steer clear of lousy strokes.
The Aussie golfer got to off to slow start, as she posted a 74 in the opening round. However, she bounced back in the third round, with a decent 68 on the leaderboard. Webb’s overall score for the tournament
was 285.
Analysts said that although the veteran golfer seems to have got off the track a little in recent years, she still has what it takes to trouble rivals. They said that the upcoming tournament will predict how
the LPGA giant is going to play in the future.
Webb is regarded as one of the most prominent players on the LPGA Tour. Having racked up 38 titles on the Tour, she is eager to add more titles to her stunning profile.
In addition to non-majors, the golfing sensation has also proved her mettle in the major events. She has won 7 major titles so far — a feat that has helped her eclipse the popularity of most of the top-flight
players in the history of women’s golf.
Speaking about how she is finding her game now after spending years in professional golf, Webb said that she is still eager to make a name for herself in her career. She said that there is always room for improvement,
but was keen to point out that the upcoming event would be crucial for her.
