  1. Volume of sphere = 4/3 pi r³.

    r = 35, hemisphere = half the volume.

    2/3 pi 35³ = 89 797.19 = 89.8 l (about 23.72 gallons)

    3 + 4 + 5 = 12, so nearest multiple of 12 is

    7.5 x 12 = 90 l

    He should use

    3 x 7.5 = 22.5 liters of pineapple

    5 x 7.5 = 37.5 liters of orange

    4 x 7.5 = 30 liters of cranberry

    In pints, the total is 189.775 US pints.

    Without doing fractions of a pint,

    he can make 180 pints ( a little short )

    or 192 pints ( a little too much )

    For 180,

    15 x 3 = 45 pints pineapple

    15 x 5 = 75 pints orange

    15 x 4 = 60 pints cranberry.

    That would be 15x his recipe.
