Many have said the new square, oversized drivers really help straighten out your shot, and add yards . . .?

to your tee shots? Is this true or just 'marketing'? And if it is true, any recommendations for a mediocre player?

I'm too cheap to find out but several have gone high tech with the larger heads and seem to get added distance. It is all a matter of swing speed. And at my age that has diminished rapidly.

i just hit my brother's new driver. its the Nickent square driver. u can find them cheap. ~$100. it was really easy to hit and they are very forgiving. they sound kinda weird, but it is a nice driver.

They might help a little but if they were as good as they say it is than wouldn't the pros be using them to get those extra yards?

they dont hit as far as standard drivers, but are MUCH more forgiving, easier to hit straight
