Question:

Many horrible dreams recently?

Recently, within about one month's time frame, I've woken up very scared to horrible dreams involving a variety of injuries, but most commonly something to do with my limbs(don't ask, I don't want to retell them). I've had about 3-5 within the last month, and they were bad enough for me to be woken up from. Usually, if I have a bad dream, I still sleep though it, but these were really bad. I can't think of anything even slightly traumatic happening recently. Life's been pretty much normal. I'm starting to be scared of going to sleep now. What do I do?

  1. Bad dreams occur when...

You are really hot while you are sleeping.

You've been reading books or watching something that freaks you out or is a little scary.

You have a fear of something (being injured, being paralysed...)

I agree with the other post. Don't be stressed when you're about to fall asleep, have happy thoughts.

  2. Hi DaveJo

Have there been any changes in or around your home environment? Any changes where you work? Also sometimes we "think" what we watch doesn't affect us, but it may affect the subconscious more than at the conscious level.

I agree with the others'. Try not watching violent programming for a week or two and see if that helps. Don't watch the news before bed either. Pay attention to any changes in your environment, however small.

    I hope these suggestions help.

  3. dreams are unkown. they really are a mystery. if i was you id pretend nothing was wrong and think happy thot before i go to bed

  4. this could be because of Meany reasons.

mostly its because of traumatic things happening...maybe a pet dying or someone close to you?

it can also be because of  things like a scary movie, a picture you saw.

or it could be something simple like your bed is uncomfortable and its making you toss and turn in your sleep coursing you to think/have bad dreams. maybe all you need to do is change your pillow?

or maybe your a physic and your seeing the future.

but if i was you i would start of doing a simple thing like changing your pillow sheets maybe add an egg shell on your mattress. the brain can be scared by things easily, for all you no u could have seen it in a movie years ago and your  restless sleeping has brought it up?

its a bit confusing lol but i hope it helps x*x

  5. This is a good sign. You are doing well.

My suggestion is this: still sleep. By sleeping you will eventually be able to sleep without being horrified. If you don't sleep when you are tired, you will have difficultly sleep until you can take no more, when you will be forced to sleep.

Is there any reason why you want to be forced to sleep?

  6. I would say you're either really stressed or you should look out for yourself, it might be a sign...
