Technically g*y people can have children and have been doing so for thousands of years. They just have to sleep with the opposite s*x in order to do it.

But, yes that might be a reason, although some of these same religious people don't seem to mind when infertile couples desire to adopt children or have them through other methods like a surrogate mother.

This attitude against g*y adoption seems to be much more common among religious people, than with non-religious people in my view.

I have two.

I know a g*y male couple, each of whom was married twice (to women) who have TEN children between them.

Most atheists (being a minority) are for g*y marriage and adoption by the way i see it. And by the way, g**s are perfectly capable of having children, we just don't.

First of all g*y people can and do have children. You point is disagreed upon because many straight married couples for what ever reason aren't able to procreate for either health reasons or sperm count might be too low etc...or the woman cannot have an o****m. Does this also mean that atheists or the non religious are against those straight people too. Not all humans need to procreate g*y straight or otherwise.
