  1. Bismuth - reddish white metal used in medicines.

A valve prevents food particles to enter into lungs.

Broadly speaking, lungs separates oxygen from the

air, we intake, but it does not mean it discards all other

gases completely. One would die inhaling nitrogen rich air

    for a long time.

Spleen is like a gland in our abdomen and something to

do with our anger, irritable or morose etc.

    No fan of Pot.

  2. Can't answer the sciences ...

Hagrid of expelled coz of his giant pet spider.

Voldemort couldn't touch harry because harry had "protection" in his blood, called "love", something voldemort cudn't understand.

Snape owed James Potter a favour as James saved him from Lupin when Lupin transformed into a werewolf and he accidentally went into the Shack. That's what I think. =\

There's no such thing as "real spells" or "magic" and Hogwarts is just fiction! =X

  3. I'm going to skip right to the HP questions.

Hagrid got expelled in his third year because Tom Marvolo Riddle discovered that he was keeping a baby acromantula (Aragig) in his room. It was believed that the acromantula in question was Slytherin's monster, and that Hagrid was responsible for the death of a student. Tom Riddle, who had  released Slytherin's Basilisk, used Hagrid to cover it up. He received an award for Special Services to the school and Hagrid was forbidden from ever doing magic again. He hid his wand in a pink umbrella. When he had nowhere else to go, Dumbledore gave him the post of Game Keeper.

The Dark Lord couldn't touch Harry because Lily Potter, by sacrificing herself to save her only son's life, gave Harry the ultimate protection. It was very powerful magic, and so she insured that the Dark Lord wouldn't be able to touch him until he turner 17 (the age at which a wizard becomes an adult).

In the graveyard, the Dark Lord used Harry's blood to regenerate his body. Since he and Harry shared blood, that part of the protection was cancelled out, so to speak, and the Dark Lord was able to kill him. There was, however another part which proved a real impediment to the Dark Lord. As long as Harry was with family, he could not so much as get near him, let alone touch him. It created a sort of shield around the Durselys' house.

During their fifth year, Sirius decided to play a joke on Snape that would have resulted in Snape getting torn apart by a werewolf. When James Potter heard what his best friend was up to, he managed to save Snape right in the nick of time. Though Snape held them both equally responsible for the "joke", he felt indebted to James for rescuing him.

In Harry's first year, when it became clear that something was threatening Harry's life, the first sign being the bewitching of Harry's broom during the first Quidditch match, Snape decided to referee the game to try and protect Harry in case his attacker decided to try again. This was his way of settling his debt with James. By protecting his son, he was repaying him for having saved his life.

In the wizarding wolrd, it would appear that life debts are somewhat important to wizards. Therefore, a wizard would never fail to repay a life debt, even if he was saved by an enemy.

There are real witches out there, and people who practice magic, but it's not the same as in the Harry Potter world. A word to the wise, though. If you really believe in it, I'd recommend not getting involved in it.

You don't become a member of Hogwarts. It's not like an exclusive club. Any person born with magical powers will get a letter from the Deputee Headmaster/Headmistress when they turn 11 (if you live in Britain that is. Magical babies born in America will get a letter from the American Wizarding school...). There is a bewitched quill in McGonagal's office which writes down the name of any witch or wizard who comes into being.

As for your other questions, I can tell you:

If food enters the air chanels, you either caughed it out, or, if it's a big peice, you choke to death. It doesn't reach the lungs.

Oxygen molecules attach themselves to specialized cells in the blood. These cells make sure that the right amount of oxygen is consumed by the body and all the organs. I think they're called hemoglobynes.

As for the others, try a dictionary or try Wikipedia...

  4. He was expelled during his third year, after being caught in possession of a dangerous acromantula: this already grave crime was worsened due to the belief that it was "The Monster of Slytherin," and that Hagrid had released it from the Chamber of Secrets and, either intentionally or unintentionally, allowed it to attack and petrify (and in one case, kill) other students. This (inaccurate) belief was encouraged by Riddle, the actual criminal, who had been using the true Monster (a Basilisk) to attack students, and who had framed Hagrid to avoid the school being closed.

  5. im only gonna answer the hp questions :D

Hagrid got expelled because the basilisk had killed a girl in hogwarts and tom riddle (voldemort) who was a student at the time, and highly respected and revered, accused hagrid of housing and caring for the monster that killed the girl, and everyone believed him. except dumbledore i think.

voldemort couldn't touch harry because harry's mother sacrificed herself to save him, so lily left a powerful "mark" on harry; love. and voldemort, who is pretty much pure hate, couldn't touch that love without feeling pain. but taking harry's blood in his rebuilt body gave him the same protection and sharing his blood let him touch harry without harm.

wats a maiden quidditch match? if it's his first quidditch match, then it's because for snape's love for lily. he knew that what lily loved more than anything else was her son, and keeping her son safe was snape's way of remembering lily and proving to himself, and others who know like dumbledore, that he still loved her.

i would want to become a student at hogwarts but im 14 and got no letter, so im doomed to a destiny as a muggle :(

  6. Bismuth – gets used a lot in cosmetics.

If food goes down the trachea you normally cough it up.

The lungs don't take out Oxygen. The haem molecules carried by red blood cells pick it up.

A capillary is a blood vessel.

Spleen filters the blood, removing unwanted material (including old red cells).

    Snape always protected Harry.

    Hogwarts is ficticious.

The prospective student is expected to buy all the necessary materials, normally from shops in Diagon Alley. Those who cannot afford supplies receive financial aid from the school.
