  1. Ron Wilson WILL TANK THIS UP COMING SEASON PURPOSLY! as much as I love Sundin i think he will get traded and as a result of this he might retire this off season isk with sundin you never know. But we will get a good draft pick. :-/

  2. I think the team will look much different.  We will have gotten rid of at least 4 of the following players : Sundin, Raycroft, Blake, Tucker, Kubina, Kaberle, McCabe, Ponivkarosky and Wellwood and will have signed probably one big free agent and have drafted and signed a lot of prospects.  Our team probably won't make it to the playoffs but will look more to the future as they develop a bunch of young prospects.  Ron Wilson will probably help us reduce all those 3rd period blow-ups and will help our inability to hold a lead so I think we could minorly improve.

  3. i think its gonna be a decent draft for the leafs, better than the most recent. I think the Leafs might get lucky this year and get Filitov, but its a deep draft, seeing they got the 7th pick, they should do good for that pick, as long as they dont do something stupid and trade it away.

You definatly wont see any big name free-agents going to Toronto. I wouldnt mind seeing a players like Brian Rolston, Wade Redden, Vaclav Prospal, Ryan Malone, Kristian Huselius

If they arent gonna give Pogge a chance id like to see them bring in Stephen Valiquette... hes a huge goalie, and could do well along side Toskala

  4. none of the listed players will be on the leafs but sundin will be

  5. The Leafs will not sign any of the listed free agents. Take your head out of that dark place right behind your hips. That's how they got to where they are today.

Cliff said yesterday that if Mats wants to come back he would sign him even if he asks for a no trade clause. That should end all the whining.

They will sign a couple of low end UFA's (1-2 Million range) Razer will open in the Marlies with Pogge. If Scott re-signs he will be Vesa's back up. They will draft a D-Man with their first pick and leave him in Juniors for at least 1 more year.

They will attempt to resign Dom Moore but none of their other free agents. Dom will resign for under a million and he and the fans will be happy. They will trade Kubina and attempt to trade McCabe and Tucker. They will buy out no one. There is no advantage to paying 2 mill to Tucker and having to put a mill on the cap space and not having a skater or asset.

Both Darcy and Bryan if they don't accept a trade are going to be more valuable on the ice than just on the cap. Next year if they aren't traded they will be bought out so that might change their minds.

Look for Nik and Pony to get a real trial this year. They are Wilson's type of players so this is a make it or break it year for them both.

I have an awful lot of other plans but that's enough for today.

    Love and Peace

    Tom

  6. I'm guessing the Leafs will have about $14-$18 million of free cap space to spend.

The team is such a mess (no offense to Leafs fans) that they're gonna need some solid forwards, another top dman to complement Kaberle, and someone to back up Vesa.

  7. My guess is they re-sign Sundin and take a serious shot at Hossa. If they can pry Kulemin out of Russia, he could be the dark horse. The kid is amazing, maybe not too consistant but he's tough and flashy, likes to mix it up, kind of an Ovechkin Lite. I trust Fletcher a lot more than JFJ at draft time.

  8. I don't know about the other players, but I think Hossa will have another great season with whichever team he goes to or stays with Pittsburgh in the 2008-09 season.

  9. no they never get good draft picks
