The Montpellier centre-back has refused to rule out the possibility of leaving the defending French champions in future, but has assured the fans that he is totally focused on helping Montpellier achieve their objectives this season

The player has admitted that the prospect of playing for a top European side tempts him but at the same time, Yanga-Mbiwa has claimed that he is completely focused on helping Montpellier in any way possible.
The reigning French champions are set to travel to London to take on Arsenal in the Champions League and the 23-year-old doesn’t feel that it’s a chance for him to demonstrate his capabilities at this level.
While talking to reporters, the centre-back stated that the match against the Gunners is not about him, and it’s a chance for Montpellier to show the world that they belong here and are not here by accident.
“I do not consider this match at the Emirates as a chance to demonstrate my level."
When asked about his future, Yanga-Mbiwa said that it’s not the time to talk about his future and he is completely focused on the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Job-c18684 at hand. The player said that he is really happy at Stade de la Mosson and sees no reason to depart.
However, the Frenchman has refused to completely rule out the possibility of leaving La Paillade in the future, and feels that time is on his side and he can progress a lot in his career.
"Is my future in the Premier League? Now my head is exclusively focussed in Montpellier. I am happy in this club but I am young and it is never impossible to reject a progression in this sport.”
Meanwhile, Montpellier coach, Rene Girard, is least bothered about the speculation regarding Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa’s future with the club, and is totally focused on his side’s upcoming match against Arsenal on Wednesday.
“We’re going to try really and stop them (Arsenal) from playing,” the 58-year-old told reporters when asked about Wednesday’s game.
