Mappin Time all set to fire in 32Red Handicap at Southwell
Mappin Time is expected to bounce back and display a wonderful performance in the 32Red Handicap, being held at Southwell on Tuesday, April 24, 2012.
After staying out of action for almost seven months, Mappin Time made his seasonal return earlier this month.
Although the four-year-old was not able to show a winning performance that day, he did reasonably well to collect a bit of praise. The 32Red Handicap saw missing the third place by a neck’s distance on April 13th.
Tim Easterby’s trainee went for a long vocation after completing the order of finish in the William Hill Ayr Bronze Cup (Handicap) at Ayr in September last year.
After doing a decent job last time around, Orientate’s son looks in good shape. Therefore, one can easily expect him to improve and bang his rivals in today’s 6-furlong event.
Nine speedy runners are all set to compete for a purse of £4,075. The class 4 meeting is scheduled to start at 18:30 GMT. The line-up comprises of Mappin Time, Masai Moon, Jeannie Galloway, Dancing Freddy, Gorgeous Goblin, Mazovian,
Eastern Hills, Monsieur Jamie and Elhamri.
Masai Moon is likely to make things a bit tricky for Mappin Time. The eight-year-old was pretty impressive last time around. In the last week, the Sports360.co.uk Handicap saw him missing the top spot by a neck’s distance.
Rod Millman’s trainee had every chance to surpass the 3-1 favourite, Powerful Presence, in the final stages of the race. However, he could not deliver what was required to secure the top rank on the table.
After presenting a fine show, the son of Lujain looks in good spirit. However, he will have to maintain good standards all the way through in an attempt to outpace his opponents.
The bookmakers are giving respect to Jeannie Galloway. However, it would not be a wise decision to bet on her because the mare is not in good form these days.
According to our predictions, it is going to be a close contest between Mappin Time and Masai Moon. We wish the best of luck to everyone.
