Mar Mar chasing maiden victory in 32Red.com Nursery
Mar Mar will be looking to claim her maiden victory in the sport by winning the 32Red.com Nursery at Kempton in England on Thursday, October 18, 2012. She is quite a talented runner and has the ability to deliver good results with consistency at this level.
However, the young filly needs to learn a lot in order to compete against the best in the business. She has been training hard and will need a few victories to get the confidence required for fighting at higher levels.
A total of seven runners have been attracted towards the 1 mile event, which is scheduled to start at 18:00 GMT. They might have to deal with a change in track conditions, as showers are expected today. At the moment, the going is standard, which will not
be any problem for the participants.
According to the bookies, there will be a two way battle for victory between Cat O´Mountain and Mushaakis, thus they have been given equally good odds. Both are highly talented stallions and are carrying the winning momentum right now. Therefore, the punters
will be interested in gambling more on them compared to others.
Importantly, both the above mentioned colts won their respective races at Kempton under similar conditions. Therefore, their confidence level will be high. However, their fans will be hoping that rain stays away from the venue in order to get a clean competition
between the joint favourites.
However, Mar Mar will not bother about the conditions, as she has got nothing to lose. She debuted in August this year and was unable to make a strong impression in her first ever outing. She simply lacked the speed to cause problems for her opponents and
had to settle for 10th place in the end.
Despite such a lacklustre showing, the Saeed Bin Suroor’s trainee made a strong comeback afterwards and delivered a couple of decent performances for her team. She finished as a runner up in her next two events, showing what she was capable of achieving.
The Irish runner will have to take a step further in order to claim her first ever victory in the sport. She will be ridden by Darren Egan for the first time in her career.
