They are actually scheduled to play tomorrow, but I think Maria will win.  Safina is probably better on clay because she moves better on this surface, but  she is so much weaker mentally than Maria, and that's where the match will be decided.  I just hope Maria finds her rhythm on her serve.

actually the sharapova/safina match is monday.

BUT

i think safina will win it. 7/5-6/4 safina has just continued to play so well this week and closing her matches pretty strongly plus she can also rely on the inspiration that she's actually beaten maria before at RG in 06. not to mention,she's a better player on this surface. maria has not looked great the whole week. she's been able to win them,but those players allowed her to get away with too much and safina is just a stronger player than those other girls.
