Marantz SR5600 receiver troubleshooting.

Question

I was adjusting the m speaker b source. while i was turning through the various sources, a message "protect" displayed on the front of the amplifier, and now no lights show on the front. The amplifier still works, but I am not able to view the display. The manual just says to call for servicing. Can you help?
