I've had my Marantz 7200 in a repair shop over 5 months and they have been unable to fix it. They now want to send it to Marantz for repair (my cost obviously).I was told $55 for Marantz to evaluate and provide an estimate. If I approve that, it will cost $120 flat rate for labor (the $55 initially paid is applied to that amount) plus parts and all shipping costs. Does this sound typical of Marantz repairs? The repair shop changed a few parts on the Digital Signal Processing board but none of the changes fixed the problem. In short, I have distortion out my left channel, and it is most noticeable with Source Direct=ON using any digital source (dig coax, optical, etc). You can hear the distortion in headphones, speakers, etc. Hook up one speaker and alternate switching it into the left and right speaker outputs makes it easy to hear the distortion. Finally, does Marantz replace these DSP boards or fix them, and does it sound like a fix like this would cost me an arm and a leg? If it cost over $225 total for a Marantz repair I would be hesitant to get the unit fixed.ThanksDave
