The 22-year-old winger picked up the same injury three times over the last season and went on to miss the end of the season because of it. However, he has now been given the go ahead by the medical team to return for the Villans for pre-season training.
Albrighton revealed it had been really frustrating for him picking up the same thigh strain three times in three months. He has now recovered though and the medical team at Villa Park believes he will be fit enough to rejoin the team for training before
the season kicks off.
Albrighton said in an interview:
“I am fit and I am raring to go. I strained my thigh three times in three months which was really frustrating. But I have come in during the summer to make sure it is healing well and looking good.
The physios are very positive about it and say it is progressing well.”

The same season he signed a three year contract with Aston Villa, going on to make 37 appearances in all competitions and scoring six goals. Last season however, was not to be as lively for Albrighton as he suffered from a thigh strain multiple times throughout
the season.
The English winger admitted he was looking forward to the upcoming season, where he expected to impress the new manager Paul Lambert.
He revealed:
“I had a good first season but the second wasn't so good. It's a huge season ahead for me. I'm looking to impress early on and get the confidence which will take me on for the remainder of the season.
There is a new gaffer (http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Paul-c29347 Lambert) and I'm relishing the chance to try and impress and the challenges ahead.”
