Aston Villa midfielder Marc Albrighton is set to be sidelined for up to four weeks after undergoing surgery to remove his appendix. The 21-year-old was set to play against Blackburn on Sunday but missed the 2-0 defeat because of the problem. A right-sided midfielder with pace and trickery, Albrighton has been one of Villa's best performers this season. He has scored three goals in 13 outings and his absence will be a blow to Villa boss Gerard Houllier.
