Marc Zwiebler penetrates into Men’s Singles quarter-final at Bitburger Open Grand Prix Gold
Germany’s top shuttler Marc Zwiebler made his home fans happy by stretching his winning run as he reached into Men’s Singles quarter-final at the Bitburger Open Grand Prix Gold 2012, which is in progress in Saarbrucken.
In the round-of-16 encounter, German shuttler ended up the winning run of Misbun Ramdan Mohmed Misbun in a dominating fashion on Thursday, November 1.  
The second seeded Zwiebler, who has been positioned at number 20 in Men’s Singles world ranking, showed a strong character in front of his home crowd and sent his lower ranked Malaysian rival packing without facing any trouble.

In the first set, Zwiebler performed remarkably well from the initial points and controlled the affairs of the game in an impressive way.
The spirited Zwiebler was quite comfortable in getting the bird quite early from all areas and he did not face any trouble in executing his strokes in gaps.
German player stayed in dictating position all the way and set up a phenomenal lead on score board until the end of starting part.
After the one-minute interval, the second seeded Zwiebler stayed focused and kept the pace of rallies high which helped him to maintain a good lead.
The positive and aggressive play of Zwiebler enabled him to claim the opening game with a dominating 21-15 score on the board.
In the second game, Misbun Ramdan tried to show his class by gearing up his speed but he failed to create pressure on his rival and remained behind on score board until the one-minute break.
German shuttler played remarkable badminton after the break and easily finished up the set with a 21-15 score on the board.
The lofty Zwiebler emerged as victorious in this pre-quarter-final contest with a completely controlled margin of 21-15 and 21-15.
