Popular Spanish sports daily Marca recently reported that David Villa will be up for sale once the transfer window opens in January. The Spanish international is linked to several clubs across Europe. Premier League teams such as http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809, Chelsea, Arsenal
and Manchester City seem to be interested in acquiring Villa’s signatures.
On the other hand, Barcelona manager Josep Guardiola strongly denied any such notion.
While addressing the press, the Catalan coach was quoted as saying:
"Marca lie. I have not spoken to David after the last match in Madrid, but all of the players are in my plans.”
Last Saturday, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alexis-Sánchez-c4979 instead of the Spanish forward in the highly anticipated

Many speculated that a tussle between the two attackers could mean that Villa may be on his way to another club. However, both players denied any such claims and openly stated that these obligations were strictly based on rumours.
This is not the first time that the Catalans have rebutted a speculation about David Villa’s exit.
Guardiola insisted that a player being benched does not necessarily hint to the player’s departure from the club. He revealed that he had no intentions of letting the Spanish forward go.
"I am the one who comes up with 25 different line-ups during the season because I feel that is the best thing to do.
"Most of the players that are here now will continue for the rest of this season and the next,” he added.
Barcelona recently played the semi final of the FIFA Club World Cup against Al Sadd. The Catalan Giants won the match 4-0, but David Villa broke his shinbone and the injury is going to keep him out of action for at least six months.
