The Eindhoven giants’ technical director denies that his side has tabled an improved bid to lure the Heerenveen winger to Philips Stadion.
Recent reports in Dutch media claimed that PSV Eindhoven have tabled an improved bid to sign Heerenveen winger, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Luciano-c22574 Narsingh, this summer.
However, the Boeren technical director, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Marcel-c23507 Brands, has now discarded all the stories, and has confirmed that his side will not be able to meet the Friesland outfit’s unrealistic asking price for their prolific winger.
“I read almost everywhere that we have increased our initial offer for Luciano. But as a matter of fact, we have not done anything yet. This is nonsense. I do not where such stories come from”, the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/PSV-c40281 chief was quoted as saying to AD.nl.
The 21-year-old is a product of the Ajax Amsterdam fabled youth academy, Jong Ajax, but never made it to the senior squad, and started his professional career at Abe Lenstra Stadion in the 2008/09 season.
The Dutch forward, who has thus far netted 13 goals while setting up plenty more in well over 50 Eredivisie appearances for Heerenveen, had a terrific 2011/12 campaign, netting eight goals while amassing an impressive 22 assists in 34 league matches.
His impressive performances have garnered him interest from several European clubs including Ajax and PSV, who are eager to add the highly-talented attacker to their squad before the start of the 2012/13 season.
The Amsterdam giants, however, have reportedly pulled out of the race in landing the youngster’s signature this summer, as the Eredivisie champions are reluctant to meet the Friesland outfit’s asking price of six million Euros.
Meanwhile, PSV have also made it clear that they will not increase their initial offer for the Dutchman, and Brands has also confirmed that his side will not table another bid for the attacker.
“Nothing has changed. As I said before, everyone knows what is possible”, the PSV technical director concluded.
Narsingh has an ongoing contract at Abe Lenstra Stadion that is due to expire in the summer of 2013, and Heerenveen should consider lowering their asking price if they want to avoid the attacker leaving the club on a free transfer next summer.
