Former Chelsea defender Marcel Desailly revealed he felt little pity for recently sacked Blues boss Carlo Ancelotti.
Since the Italian manager was sacked, there has been criticism aimed at the Chelsea owner for the apparent unfair and harsh decision.
Many believe that the double winning manager deserved to remain at Stamford Bridge for at least another season, until his contract expired.
However, the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 owner Roman Abramovich did not wait and gave the orders to sack Ancelotti right after the last game of the season.
Chelsea had travelled to Goodison Park to take on http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Everton-c39043 in the last fixture of the Premier League season, which they lost 1-0.
Just moments after the final whistle, Ancelotti was informed that he was no longer the Chelsea manager.
Desailly did not agree with most people, claiming it was all a part of football. The defender c*m midfielder felt Ancelotti got what he deserved.
The http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899 international revealed Ancelotti had just paid the price of a trophy less season.
Admittedly, Ancelotti had led the Blues to a highly successful season last term, winning the domestic double of the English premier League and the FA Cup.
In doing so, he became the first foreign manager to do so in his first season at an English side.
His failure to recreate his success at his second term at the London club cost him his http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Job-c18684, which according to Desailly was expected.
Desailly said while speaking to reporters:
“That is the life of a manager.
He did well in the first year and won two trophies, but the owner did not support the fact that this year he won nothing.
The message to the players was still positive but the management have clearly decided that was not enough.
I http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Love-c22466 (bookmakers favourite) Harry Redknapp, but it doesn't matter who they pick. I just want them to decide very quickly.
That way we can get on with planning and dreaming of victory.”
Desailly signed with Chelsea in the 1998 season for a fee of £4.6 million from Serie A side AC Milan.
During his six seasons at the London side, the Frenchman went on to win three trophies and even captained the Blues.
The 1998 World Cup winning player revealed he was looking forward to seeing who the Blues picked as their next manager.
So far Harry Redknapp, Jose Mourinho, Guus Hiddink, Andres Villas Boas, Marco van Basten, Marcello Lippi and Pep Guardiola.
Desailly said he did not particularly care who the Blues finally decided on, he just wanted them to decide as soon as possible.
Latest reports reveal that Chelsea are planning to reveal their new manager this Monday. However, there has been no indication as to who it is.
