The former France international rates the Arsenal defender in high regards and feels that the 27-year-old is as good as Gerard Pique and Nemanja Vidic
Desailly, who led France to victory in the 2001 Confederations Cup, has hailed the Frenchman ahead of Les Bleus crunch World Cup qualifier against Spain on Tuesday.
Koscielny has been in fine form at the moment and France are relying heavily on the defender as they prepare to take on the reigning World and European champions.

While talking to reporters, the former Marseille player stated Les Bleus are lucky to have a player like Koscielny in their ranks, and added that he would love to see the Gunners defender playing for the national side on regular basis.
“I love to see a lot of Koscielny; the player has massive workforce and is the defensive leader of the team.”
The 44-year-old said that the centre-back has improved a lot in last couple of years, and believes that the Arsenal player is better and more composed than other defenders in the national side.
“From time to time, he needs to clean up his game, in order to be smart in decision making. Today, he is better than Mexes and Rami.”
