The former France international criticised Roy Hodgson’s side and claimed that the Three Lions were very unimpressive during their opening match of the competition against Les Bleus
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899, told Le Parisien that he had never seen an England side so physically weak and unimpressive.
The former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 defender believes that if England continue to play like they did in their 1-1 draw against Les Bleus, in their remaining matches of the tournament, they can say goodbye to any hopes they have of winning Euro 2012.
Criticising the Three Lions' defensive style, the 43-year-old blasted Roy Hodgson’s side for such a display. Desailly said that for the most part of the game, England were playing in their own half and Les Bleus  were launching attack after attack which
surprised everyone as http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749 failed to put much pressure on Laurent Blanc’s side.
"I was not expecting at all an English team to be so feeble physically. They made no impact and were incapable of pressing their opponents. "
Discarding any chances of England’s lifting the European Championship, Desailly claimed that it would be very surprising if this England team manages to win the Euro 2012 despite holding an obviously dominant French side to a 1-1 draw.
"In my opinion they will not win the European Championship that is for certain, even if they succeeded in limiting the damage in this [France] match”
The former AC Milan player claimed that England were not even a real test for Laurent Blanc’s side. According to Desailly, France will face much tougher games in the competition that will really test the capabilities of Les Bleus.
"This was not a test for the French, they cannot really make a judgement of their overall performance in this type of match, and they can only say there are some things to correct. However, it wasn't a test of a very high level neither in the pressing nor
the intensity."
Euro 2000 winners are set to face http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ukraine-c3032 in their next group match and the Frenchman believes that Les Bleus would definitely make a huge impact in the tournament.
