The Rothosen winger has hailed Thorsten Fink for his stunning impact on the team in the last few months.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Marcel-c23507 Jansen has expressed his delight on Hamburg’s current form in the Bundesliga. He opined that the club board made a great move when they appointed Fink as the manager at a point when the Red Shorts were struggling at the
bottom of the table.
Former manager, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Michael-c25261 Oenning, struggled for results during his stint at the Imtech Arena and as a result was given the marching orders by the club officials. However, Fink has turned things around in his club’s favour since
his appointment last year in October.
Hamburg have managed to register eight points from six games since the winter break which has led them out of the relegation zone, at the 12th spot. The Imtech Arena outfit managed just one point against the same six
oppositions when they met them before the break.
While talking to official Bundesliga website, the former Borussia Monchengladbach player further added:
"It was time for a big change at Hamburg, because the years before had been marked by a lack of success. We've worked out way up from the bottom of the table and we also turned in some very poor performances at the start of the
season. Since then, the development has been very positive."
On the other hand, the player also commented on Hamburg’s upcoming league game against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/VfB-Stuttgart-c40879. He urged his players to put in a determined performance again and has warned them of the attacking threat the opposition can
be. He stressed on the importance of maintaining the momentum if the Red Shorts are to finish in the top-half of the table.
"We could have been 3-0 down at half time, but we turned it around and won 2-1. It was a very important result at that point. Now we have to transfer our very good away form to home turf for once and be a bit more clinical," Jansen
concluded.
Fink’s men will next be in action on Saturday, March 03, against the Swabians who are eighth on the standings table and only two points separate the two sides.
