I really like this saddle, but I can't seem to find this EXACT one anywhere else! It's not for sale on Dover right now, but when I type in the saddle name on Google there are other DIFFERENT saddles that come up but have the same name! I would really like to find this saddle somewhere where I can buy it, but I can't find it anywhere! If you could help me out that would be great! Also, if you happen to have one of these and would think about selling it, please let me know! My seat size is 17"

  1. Sorry, I don't know anything about that saddle, but maybe that model is only made for Dover.  The exact same saddle might be sold elsewhere under a different model name.  Check for pictures of some of the other models you've found and see if any look the same.

  2. I have to disagree with the above post. A girl at my barn was sold a MT by a local tack shop. They told her it was as good as Pessoa and the next big thing, so she bought it. Long story short - It gave her terrible position, tipped her forward. Didn't fit any horse, always slid forward over the withers (tried on several different shaped horses and ponies, always the same story). The leather bled like crazy, ruined several saddle pads and several pairs of breeches. I would not ever recommend t a MT saddle to anyone. We got rid of it and got her a County Stabilizer, all problems vanished. But if you want my recomendation on a good saddle, find a lightly used Pessoa on ebay for about the same price as these. You'll be much happier in the long run.

  3. GREAT CHOICE! M Toulouse are the greatest saddles and smart to buy now since I'm betting when they catch on, their prices will rise. The reason you can't find them isn't because they are only made for Dover, it's just because the are fairly new and not many people have heard of them. Smartpak Equine also sell a good deal of M Toulouse tack. Here is the saddle your interested in:

they currently have a 17 in both tree sizes and both color options and I can vouch for Smartpaks validity--i have ordered from them a couple of times with no hitch! If your willing to wait a bit though--or compromise on a different model in order to spend a bit less you can periodically check ebay. I got my Marcel Toulouse Premia (THAT I LOVE) on Ebay for only $700 because it had been ridden in twice as a demo! I also like the Ariano and Genero models. Enjoy the saddle!

EDIT: Thats too bad your friend had a bad experience with one, Amy. My own experience with an M. Toulouse saddle is very different. The wide tree fits my quarter horse perfectly, i feel very secure over jumps in my Premia, i always use a white saddle pad, and have had no problems with discoloration, and my saddle stays in place perfectly. Not to mention it is VERY comfortable and easy to break in.
