Germany international http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Marcell-Jansen-c23544 has extended his stay with Hamburg after putting pen-to-paper on a new deal.
Marcell Jansen moved to Hamburg from Bayern Munich after he failed to make an impact at Allianz Arena. The left-sided player was signed from the Bavarian giants for a fee reported to be around 8 million Euros.
He only managed to make a total 17 appearances for Die Roten. After sealing a move to Hamburg Jansen showed what he was capable of. The wide player has so far scored 16 goals for the club in 83 appearances.

The former Bayern Munich left-back’s current club were growing worried about his contract situation, the 26-year old’s current deal was due to expire in the summer of 2013.
The player ended the uncertainty regarding his future by putting pen to paper on a contract extension, which will keep him at the club till 2015. Jansen revealed that he is looking forward to another three year spell with the Northern
Germany club. He lauded the quality of the current squad and claimed he felt at home at the club.
"I'm really looking forward to another three years at HSV. Hamburg has become my home and I feel good here. The team has great potential,” Jansen is quoted as saying in an interview.
Frank Arnesen the Hamburg sporting director expressed his delight at tying down his club’s prized asset and revealed that the club want the player to become an integral part of the team by taking a bit more responsibility. The
