The former Juventus head coach has lauded Antonio Conte’s coaching skills, and remarked that the Bianconeri have the best quality squad in the Italian Lega.
The World Cup winning head coach has gone on to state that Juventus will continue to be successful in the upcoming season. Juventus find themselves in murky waters once again; however, this time they are not directly involved. Antonio Conte, head coach of
the Turin outfit, has been alleged to have failed to provide match fixing information, despite having prior knowledge of the events. His assistant, Angelo Alessio is also charged with the same allegations.
The charges come from Conte’s and Alessio’s time together at Siena in 2010-11. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Simone-Pepe-c33591 have been charged with sporting fraud. And they all see lengthy spells on the sideline if they are found to be guilty.
Despite the apparent repercussions of the sentence that Conte would have to carry out, Lippi believes that even though his loss will be felt, the consequences will not be as grave as people are making them out to be.
The former Nazionale head coach went ahead to explain that Conte would be able to implement his workings despite his inability to be on the field and in the locker room during matches. He was talking to the Gazzetta dello Sport and during his interview,
he went on to state:
“Will it affect things? A little, but not much. Antonio is very involved with the games, to the point of losing his voice, but more important is the work done in the week.”
Furthermore, Lippi went on to mention the faith he has in the character of the current Juventus head coach and he feels that he would come out of the trial unscathed. He remarked:
“And he would still do that even if he is banned. I know Antonio as a person of true clarity and seriousness. I do not think he has done anything wrong.”
The former Siena coach is looking at the prospect of a 15 month ban from football, Stefano Palazzi recommended this sentence. However, reports suggests that the former Juventus player would be given a 10 month ban.
