Marcelo Bielsa, a possible replacement of Real Madrid’s Jose Mourinho - La Liga news
There have been speculations that Spanish powerhouse Real Madrid have decided to part ways with manager Jose Mourinho following their exit from UEFA Champions League. Los Blancos were beaten by arch-rivals Barcelona in the semi-final of the European competition.
The 55-year-old Argentine, Marcelo Bielsa, is amongst the favourites to replace the Portuguese.
Mourinho recently fell under heavy criticism from many reputable football figures following his outrage after the first leg of Barca-Madrid semi-final at the Bernabeu. The match ended 2-0 in Barcelona’s favour and it also left Madrid down to ten men after

Adding to all this, the Portuguese has had a very turbulent relationship with the club’s General Director, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Jorge-c19120 Valdano, and one of the two so called ‘enemies’ is certainly expected to say goodbye come the end of the current 2010/11 season.
Bielsa recently resigned from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Argentina-c2841, La Liga outfit Espanyol and the Argentine Primera Division outfit, Newell’s Old Boys.
The 55-year-old is reportedly one of Valdano’s close friends and should Mourinho resign or even face the axe, Bielsa is the likely candidate to replace the former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567 Milan tactician.
Jose Mourinho, on the other hand, has remained calm over his replacement talks and denied to make any comments upon the issue.
The Portuguese took charge of the Whites in 2010 and his main task was to lead them into the finals of the Champions League but was unable to achieve the feat. Mourinho is likely to depart from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Spain-c3011 at the end of the season and the self proclaimed ‘special
one’ might take charge of an English Premier League club.
On the other hand, former Chile boss Marcelo Bielsa has made his intentions clear that he has not yet prepared himself to take charge of any outfit and would consider snubbing should he get any offer from Real Madrid.
Real Madrid are currently second in La Liga with 80 points and are eight points adrift of the leaders and rivals Barcelona with four games left in the season to play.
