http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Marcelo-c23554 Bielsa could not stop himself at blasting the construction workers at Athletic Bilbao’s training facilities with most of the work yet to be completed as the first team reported for pre-season training.
The Bilbao head-coach sought the site manager for explaining the dire conditions of Lezama, a conversation that developed into a heated argument with reports suggesting physical altercation as well.
After refusing to give the matter more than it’s due, Bielsa broke his silence over the subject and talk to media reporters to explain his side of the story.
The former Chilean national team manager revealed that he was enraged at watching the Lezama training facilities in disarray at the start of their pre-season training and got the matters into his own hands.
Bielsa admitted that the situation escalated into a brawl but will not go any further. He revealed that the parent company had convinced the site manager not to press charges against him to bring an end to the matter.
"The condition of Lezama is an insult to the players and I am responsible for them," Bielsa commented. "I was indignant because that was not recognised and began to say offensive things. I don't respect him because he did a bad http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Job-c18684.”
"I behaved badly and I admit that. I offended the person but he also said some bad things.”
"He made no police report and that, I believe, is because of pressure from his company or Athletic, who wanted to avoid [any publicity over] what I'm reporting here."
"Doing our pre-season in these conditions at Lezama discredits me as a coach."
