The Brazilian full-back believes that he has improved a lot while playing under the current Real Madrid coach, Jose Mourinho.

The Brazilian full-back has impressed many in the world of football and not only is he great while making a run forward; in fact, he has improved as a defender as well.

However, the Brazilian star was able to give out many brilliant performances for Real Madrid and eventually it was Coentrao who rarely got a chance in the Real Madrid first team.
Coentrao is now a second-choice left-back for Los Blancos as Marcelo has assured his position in the team after performing phenomenally throughout the last season.
While speaking to the press about his performance being improved under Jose Mourinho, Marcelo said:
"I knew I had to prove my worth as soon as Mourinho arrived here. I feel happiest on the field. I am also grateful to the President because he's had great faith in me.”
"Mourinho has helped me improve in defence and become more aggressive. I wasn't very aggressive before. I fight like crazy for every ball in play. He has also boosted my confidence and made me more motivated."
