Marching band?

Question

When you do the 8 steps forword to the line do you put your left foot on the line first then bring up your right foot or vice versa. Also when going backwards do you land on your left foot then bring up your right foot or the other way around?

Oh and we step with our left foot first

Hey!!! When going forward--your right foot will hit the line first, then you will bring your left foot up to it. When going backwards---your right foot will hit the line first as well, then you will bring your left foot up to it. Ta da!! Good luck to you and your marching band!!
