http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Claudio-Marchisio-c9312, the former midfielder of Empoli, has gone on to reflect on his ambitions this year and stated that he wants to win at least one trophy with Juve.
The hard working midfielder was talking to the media and while reflecting on the year that is about to pass by, he reflected on his wishes for the next year and also commented on the fact that the team would be looking to defend their title as the Serie
A Champions. This is the first time that the Old Lady has gone on to lift the Scudetto since the Calciopoli controversy hit the club back in 2006. That has been a long time and Marchisio has been an integral part of the club ever since they were relegated
to the Serie B for their reported involvement in the fixing of matches and influencing referees.
This was also the 28th Scudetto that the Turin giants have won in their history, but it could have been the 30th Scudetto had the Italian courts not taken away the two Serie A titles that they won from 2004-06.  Besides the controversy,
the young midfielder went on to comment that he was hungry for trophies and hoped that the coming year would bring as many trophies as last year if not more.
However, he was intent on stating that Juve would hold on the title of the Serie A Champions to their life, and reflected that the team would be looking to perform to the best of their abilities to ensure that takes place. During his conversation with the
media, he reflected:
“I want 2013 to be at least equal to 2012. We have to raise at least one trophy.”
The Turin giants were the underdogs in the last year, with no one expecting them to contest for the Scudetto; however, they did exactly that and beat Milan to the title as well. It was under the tutelage and superb guidance of Antonio Conte that the team
was able to defy the odds and lift the trophy. Furthermore, they went through the whole course of the season, having remained unbeaten.
