It depends on which Tyson showed up.  If it were the pre-prison Tyson handled by Cus D'Amato, he'd destroy Marciano.

In his later days, Marciano would have confused & worn him down.

1ST off Marciano was knocked down by Moore not Charles. Second in both cases of him being knocked down he arose to kayo his opponents. Walcott and Moore who happens to have the most kayo's of any fighter in boxing history.

Did Tyson ever arise from a knockdown to win??.......No. When he went down so did his heart. Marciano was like a Timex watch, take a l*****g and keep on ticking. When Tyson was being pounded by, Douglas, Holyfield, Lewis and the last couple of bums he fought he 1. either was knocked out or quit.2 Became a cannible and was dq'd.

Comparing fighters of yesterday and now is like apples and oranges, fights were allowed to go on nomatter how much blood was flowing back in the day. Nowadays if a fighter gets a papercut its stopped.

Rock was simply that, a rock. He had power, insane stamina and a chin of granite.

Tyson had power, speed and intimidation. Not of that would amount to a hill of beans against Marciano. Say what u will about ''The Brockton Blockbuster'' but he beat everyone he fought. Old, young, big, small. Did Tyson? When Rock had his nose split in half by Charles he roared back and knocked him out. His heart was legendary.

But to say a bully scrub like Tyson would demolish him is total ignorance and disrespect for a man who gave his all in the ring and retired at 32 with no more worlds left to conquer.



When Tyson was bullied back he always folded. Would Rocky run if he heard Tyson's lispy voice telling him he was gonna eat his kids? LMFAO.

P.S. in Tyson's ''Prime'' as the groupies call it he was knocked stiff by a BUM in Douglas. No excuses. nuff said.

Rocky Marciano was not even a heavy weight he was really a cruiser weight,he never faced any fighter like Tyson, Marciano's toughest opponent was a 38 year old Ezzard Charles who was past his prime, moreover Marciano was way too light to fight in today's heavyweight divison and too small, he had power,but he was easy to hit,slow and bled very easily and Tyson's style was all about drawing first blood, Marciano would have tried to slug it out with Mike and that would have been a big mistake, Tyson was faster,more accurate and just as strong (and much bigger) it would have been a mismatch, they would slug it out for a while but eventually Marciano would get knocked out, after all this guy got knocked down by ezzard charles and joe walcott and these guys were nowhere near Tyson's power and speed, Marciano would either loose by knock out or by stoppage, this one is not even close.

Mike Tyson hands down in his prime...most of Tyson's opponents were much bigger then he was and he would chop them down to size...and he won his first belt at the age of 19.

A prime Tyson would destroy a prime Marciano.  I don't see how anyone could debate that.

But anyone could beat the Tyson of 2000 to present.  And even the Tyson of the 1990s was highly suspect.

Mike Tyson was horrible, when are people going to realize that.  Marciano would have beat the h**l out of him all night long.  Tyson wouldnt make it past 7.

You have to look at styles. And when I think of these two fighters they were both head-on, aggressive fighters. In Tyson's losses, the common denominator for all his losses were that his opponent had a good enough jab to keep him away and wear him down.

Rocky didn't have an outstanding jab. It was mediocre at best. So, I think the winner would be Tyson at his prime. They both would have to work on the inside but I think that Tyson's uppercuts were the most vicious of all-time. Which would result in a KO of Marciano.

Tyson horrible?  He was seriously feared.  He was 17 and knocking people out with out a problem.  I never saw Marciano fight so I really don't know.  I do know he was amazing at taking a lot of punishment. I would think Tyson, because he was an animal. Even when he lost to douglas he wanted to get up but his legs wouldn't let him.  If the 19 year old Tyson shows up, he wins by a knock out.
