The agent of A.S http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roma-c31603 striker, Marco Borriello, has blasted the club for putting his client on the transfer market despite completing a permanent move to the Stadio Olimpico Rome earlier this summer.
The agent is surprised after hearing that his client is for sale and claimed that there is lack of communication between the manager and higher authorities at the club. Reports in the Italian media claim that the Giallorossi are
closing in on the signing of Espanyol striker, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Osvaldo-c28821.
Several clubs including Paris Saint Germain and Genoa are interested in signing the former A.C Milan striker. However, the agent confirmed that his client will continue to train with Roma until he hears anything from the club.
He further added that if Roma’s decision to sell the striker is due to tactical reasons than he will hold discussions with the club Sporting Director.
The agent said, “While he remains at Roma, he will train at the head of the group. The news he was on the market was a surprise, above all considering the fact they only bought him out from Milan on June 26. If the reason is tactical,
then we will discuss that with the club. There have been many rumours, but in our last meeting with director Walter Sabatini there was no clue they wanted to sell him.”
“If they wanted to release Borriello, then all they had to do was leave him on the bench against Slovan Bratislava. I think the club isn’t communicating with the Coach.”
The former Genoa star featured from the bench in Roma’s 1-0 UEFA Europa League defeat at the hand of Slovan Bratislava and will remain cup bound until the January 2012. Participating in European competitions will limit his suitors
and only the teams which are not in either Champions League or Europa League will prefer to buy him.
