The Nerazzurri chief rules out his team’s chances of playing UEFA Champions League next season; hails the Udinese management for their impressive upturn.
Inter Milan director, Marco Branca, believes that the Nerazzurri cannot finish in the top-three this season.
Andrea Stramaccioni’s men are currently positioned 7th in the points table, with only six points separating them with third-placed Lazio. With only six matches left to play until the end of the season, claiming the final
UEFA Champions League spot will be nothing short of a miracle for the Beneamata.
Branca believes that the fight for the third-place will go down to the wire, with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roma-c31603 and Udinese fighting until the last minute of the season. However, he believes that his side has all but lost their chance
to finishing amongst the elite group.
While talking to Udinese Channel, Branca enthused:
“In all honesty, I don’t think we are in the race for the Champions League. All I can say is that we will do our best to the bitter end.”
Inter Milan will travel to Udinese for their round 33 game on Saturday, 14 April, and Branca has praised the Bianconeri management for the hard-work they have done at the club. The Biscione chief lauded the club’s squad policy,
and believes that it has been the key to their success.
Branca, represented Udinese during his playing career, and insists that he feels honoured to be a part of the Zebrette history.
“I think the Friuli fans are very fortunate to have the Pozzo family at the helm. They started with me in the 1987 team and escalated with a mix between young and experienced players to reach great results. I am always glad to
come back to the stadium I played in for five years and was very happy here. Even if I know this will be a complicated game for Inter, it’s still a pleasure to be here.”
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567 Milan have had one of the worst season of their history, and they have witnessed two managers get sacked. On the other hand, Udinese have continued their impressive work of the previous campaign, and have a wonderful chance
of finishing amongst the top-three.
