The FC Kaiserslautern manager is eager to prove his doubters wrong by registering a win over Wolfsburg this weekend.
Under-pressure Kaiserslautern manager, Marco Kurz, is aiming to achieve all three points at the weekend against Wolfsburg and prove his critics wrong. The two teams are set to meet on Saturday, March 03, at the Fritz-Walter-Stadion.
Kurz has been under scrutiny after losing badly to Mainz last week. As a result, the manager is under immense pressure to turn things around this weekend.
Kaiserslautern are winless for the past 13 games and are currently sitting in the relegation zone. They have only managed three wins so far this season from 23 outings and the tactician needs to turn his team’s fortunes sooner
rather later in order to avoid the drop.
The players and the management had a meeting with a group of supporters after last week’s derby defeat and the fans are expecting nothing less than three points against Die Wolfe. Kurz assured that his side are looking forward
of living up to their fans’ expectations and will definitely bring this losing pattern to a halt.
While talking to reporters ahead of the fixture, the former Borussia Dortmund defender further added:
"The constructive talk with the fans has given the players courage. They were very down after the game, but they have become livelier by the day. We want to reach our ultimate goal of safety together with the fans. Our expectations
are very high for this game and we are going into it to win it."
On the other hand, Wolfsburg manager, Felix Magath, also expressed his desire to emerge as winners against the relegation threatened, Red Devils. Die Wolfe are also fresh from a loss to Hoffenheim at home and the manager is under-pressure
to lead his side to a win and push the team’s way up to the top-half of the table.
"I hope we never again experience our own players being harshly criticised or punished with silent treatment like against Hoffenheim,” Magath added.
Kaiserslautern are currently 17th in the league standings, level on points with bottom placed, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/SC-Freiburg-c40462. Wolfsburg, on the other hand, are 13th with 27 points and a win at the weekend will leave them with
an outside chance of qualifying for next season’s UEFA Europa League.
