The Borussia Monchengladbach striker believes Patrick Herrmann has a bright future ahead following his brace last week against Bayern Munich.

20. Herrmann collected a brace in that game, while Reus managed to squeeze the other goal for the hosts.
The striker believes that the 20-year-old is a talented youngster, and certainly one of the brightest prospects at Borussia Monchengladbach. He stated that the Foals are blessed to have a player such as Herrmann in their ranks,
and advised him to concentrate on developing his skills by focussing on improving constantly.
When asked whether Herrmann could be his successor at the Borussia-Park, Reus further added:
“I wouldn't like to say who will follow in my footsteps. The lad just needs to keep on playing his own game. He's got great ability, but he's still very young and still has a lot to learn. If he follows his own path and keeps a
steady head on his shoulders then he'll have a great career ahead of him, I've no doubts about that.”
Herrmann made his first team appearance for the Foals in 2009 after coming through the club’s youth ranks. He has recently become a regular starter for Lucien Favre’s side, and so far has bagged six league goals from 47 appearances.
The midfielder recently won plaudits for his brave show against the Reds, and is tipped to fill in the boots of Reus once the striker parts ways with the Foals.
Reus has signed a five-year deal with Borussia Dortmund during the ongoing January transfer window and will arrive at the Westfalenstadion after the end of this campaign. The striker has been influential so far this season for
Gladbach, and has 11 goals under his belt from 15 league appearances.
