The Borussia Monchengladbach striker is pleased with his team’s current form, and credits team work for success achieved so far this season.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Marco-Reus-c23733 has expressed his pleasure at Monchengladbach’s current form and vows to achieve something bigger at the end of this season. The Borussia Dortmund-bound striker added that the Foals have shown a significant turnaround
from last season, both in the attack and defence.
Reus also showed delight at Gladbach’s victory over Bayern on Friday, January 20, at the Borussia-Park.
However, he stated that it cannot be regarded as one of the Foals best performances but definitely worth relishing as it came against the league leaders for the second time during the season. The striker feels that his side needs
to show more determination in attack and hold the ball better.
He stated that his team played exceptionally well against the Bavarian giants and could have scored more goals had they not given away possession cheaply on several occasions.
When asked whether last Friday’s victory over Bayern is Gladbach’s best effort in this campaign thus far, the 22-year-old further added:
“That's difficult to say. It was certainly one of our better games, especially defensively. I do however think that we could have done more going forward and kept hold of the ball better. There's always room for improvement - there's
no such thing as a perfect game.”
On the other hand, Reus admitted to the importance of teamwork in achieving success. He mentioned that the Foals made a phenomenal start to their season especially after avoiding relegation last term. He stressed that the league
double over Bayern has given a lot of confidence and self belief which is a result of hard work and collective team effort.
Reus agreed to his teammate, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mike-Hanke-c25699, on collective team work and concluded, “Yes, of course. I think we're still profiting from our victory in the relegation play-off last season. It gave us a big boost ahead of the new season
and the victory over Bayern on Matchday 1 gave us further impetus.”
Monchengladbach are currently fourth on the league standings with 36 points from 18 games, one point short of the top spot. The Foals will next be in action against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/VfB-Stuttgart-c40879 on Sunday, January 29.
