and is looking forward to repay their faith next season.
The striker recently agreed to join reigning German champions, Borussia Dortmund, for 17.1 million Euros which was the player’s release clause. The striker turned down Bayern Munich to complete his transfer to Dortmund, claiming
that the latter had always been his preference.
While talking to German newspaper, Badische Zeitung, the 22-year-old further added:
"This is obviously a lot of money. But I've always dreamed of costing as much as Zinedine Zidane and Ronaldinho. I'm really not close to them. But the sum paid by Dortmund is quite remarkable."
On the other hand, Reus confirmed that Dortmund seemed a more attractive option than Bayern Munich while deciding about his new club. He opined that Jurgen Klopp is a more influential manager than Jupp Heynckes and he believes
that playing for the reigning champions will enhance his chances of playing in the national side.
The youngster will begin his Dortmund stint from the start of next season after spending the remaining part of this term with the Foals. The attacker admitted that Dortmund play some delightful football and is confident that his
move to the Signal Iduna Park will make him a better player.
"Dortmund are more attractive than Bayern. And you get a feeling for which coach will help you develop most. Dortmund is not a metropolis, but it is the best place for me from a footballing perspective," Reus concluded.
Reus has undoubtedly been the best player for Gladbach this season and netted 13 league goals so far from 17 appearances. As a result, the Borussia Park outfit are third in the Bundesliga with 47 points and will next be up against
