The Borussia Monchengladbach striker has expressed his pleasure on having a wonderful year with the club and aims to carry the same form into the next year.
The Gladbach striker has expressed his satisfaction after reaching the quarter-finals of the German Cup.
The Foals defeated the reigning holders, Schalke, 3-1 at the Borussia-Park on Wednesday, December 21. An early strike from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Juan-Arango-c19652 and a brace from Reus booked Gladbach’s place in the last-eight of the competition.
When asked about the victory over Schalke, the former Rot Weiss Ahlen star stated that the win was a gift for his team’s consistency throughout the season. After struggling in the second-half of the 2010/11 season, and going through
the relegation play-offs, Gladbach have emerged as genuine title contenders this season.
“Not just for me, for the whole team, and the whole of Monchengladbach. It's been strenuous, with the tough second season-half and the relegation play-offs. We've been on a real roller-coaster ride - now we can just totally relax
for a week or two, then it's back to work again.”
The 22-year-old is pleased with his team’s performances before the Christmas, and is hoping to end the season on the same note.
After grabbing 11 goals and nine assists during the entire 2010/11 campaign, Reus has already bagged 10 league goals from 14 appearances thus far this season. The player is also one of the contenders for the Golden Boot award alongside

Monchengladbach currently find themselves 4th on the league table, and are just four points adrift of the current leaders, Bayern Munich. Reus has targeted a UEFA Champions League berth for the next season. However,
it remains to be seen if they continue their impressive form after the winter break or falter like they did last season.
