The Borussia Monchengladbach attacker is convinced that his side can get the better of Werkself next week in the Bundesliga.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Marco-Reus-c23733 believes that his side’s draw against Freiburg was a disappointing but insisted that the result has no effect on the game against Bayer Leverkusen in the Bundesliga. Gladbach failed to secure the three points against
this season’s relegation contenders when they hosted them on Saturday, March 10, at the Borussia Park.
Both sides managed a point each after playing out 0-0 draw. Reus expressed his disappointment at not being able to record a win but is confident ahead of the Leverkusen game next week. He admitted that the game against Robin Dutt’s
team is very important and wants to ensure that The Foals get back to winning ways.
A point against Freiburg has allowed the Borussia-Park outfit to sit above fourth placed Schalke, who won against Hamburg last week. While talking to official Bundesliga website, Bundesliga.de, the 22-year-old http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Germany-c2904 international
further added:
“For us it's a Bundesliga game like any other. Leverkusen's aggressive, attacking nature could work against us. We'll spend time recuperating before making sure we're fully prepared.”
On the other hand, the attacker also commented on his playing position against Freiburg. He expressed his satisfaction on playing in the centre of midfield despite being a natural winger. He insisted that it was not unusual for
him as he has performed that role previously.
“I wouldn't put it that way. I play in the position that my head coach wants me to and prepared myself for the game in exactly the same way I would have if I had been on the left or the right,” Reus concluded.
With nine games remaining this season, Gladbach are certainly on their way for a place in next term’s Champions League. The Foals will also come across Bayern Munich for the third time this season when they host them in the semi-finals
of the German Cup on Wednesday, March 21.
It will be interesting to see how Gladbach cope with Werkself at the BayArena in their next league game, who themselves are searching for a win after slipping against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 and Wolfsburg in the last two games.
