The Borussia Monchengladbach striker has not received any offers from the Bavarian giants and is looking forward to another season with the Foals.
Borussia Monchengladbach striker http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Marco-Reus-c23733 has denied recent claims of an offer from Bayern Munich and has advised the media not to make false comments over his transfer.
Reus clearly stated his intentions of staying at the Borussia Park for one more season despite being strongly linked with a move to Bayern Munich at the end of the 2011/12 campaign.
The player’s contract with the Foals will expire in 2015, and Reus believes that another year's stay at Borussia Park might be better for him in further developing his skills before testing them at a bigger stage.
While talking to Express, the 22-year-old further enthused:
"I have not received an offer from Bayern Munich. The people writing this kind of stuff clearly know more than I do. I don't know whether these kinds of reports from Munich can put extra pressure on a club or player. I don't know
the reason behind it.”
I have a contract until 2015, so it's a realistic option that I'll stay with Gladbach after this season." He also added.
The striker admitted to interest from the German giants, but reinstated his desire of staying with Gladbach for the time being.
Reus admitted that Bayern are certainly a better option than his current employers but expressed his concerns over the possibility of limited first-team opportunities. He fears that it will be difficult for him to dislodge big
name players such as http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Toni-Kroos-c35425 and Thomas Muller from the team sheet.
Reus has been in sensational form this season and has already bagged 10 goals from 14 Bundesliga appearances thus far.
The striker’s progress is also being monitored by Premier League clubs, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809. The Reds have been tracking the youngster for a long time and it is highly believed that they will try their luck with a January bid.
Bayern CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has also advised the 22-year-old to remain with Gladbach for at least one more year.
