Borussia Monchengladbach have qualified for the quarter-finals of the DFB-Pokal after beating the current holders, Schalke, at the Borussia-Park on Wednesday, December 21.

Reus is ecstatic after scoring a brace and guiding his side into the last eight of the German Cup. He believes that luck played a major role in his team’s win on Wednesday, as they were sloppy on several occasions.
While addressing the official Bundesliga website, the Bayern Munich target stated:
“We've come a long way already, but there another two rounds before the final. We want to get there, for sure, but that's a lot further down the line. Until then, we just want to stay fit and focus on our football.”
The striker admitted that luck had a huge role in both of his goals, but he is happy with the win.
“I reckon not. Obviously, there's a bit of luck involved in those situations. With the first one I was moving towards (Joel) Matip and just whacked the ball past him at full power, after noticing the keeper was edging in the opposite
direction. Sometimes you just have to give it a go. Today, it worked out.”
Reus landed at the Borussia-Park in 2009, and his impressive performances have attracted interest from few of the top clubs across Europe. Bayern Munich, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 are all tracking the German international, and a January
bid is on the cards.
On the other hand, the Foals are highly unlikely to accept any bid for their prized asset, and are trying to convince the attacker into signing a new contract. Reus has scored 11 goals in 16 appearances in all competitions this
season thus far.
