The Borussia Monchengladbach striker might decide in favour of joining the Black Yellows ahead of Jupp Heynckes’ side.
According to reports in the German media, Borussia Monchengladbach striker, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Marco-Reus-c23733, would prefer joining Borussia Dortmund over Bayern Munich should he leave the Borussia Park.
According to DerWesten, Dortmund bosses have held informal talks with the attacker, and are interested in signing him in the summer transfer window.
Reus has been in prolific form this season, and has attracted interest from a host of Bundesliga and Premier League clubs, too. Bayern Munich, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 are all tracking the German international.
However, the youngster is reportedly keen to stay in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Germany-c2904, and Signal Iduna Park is believed to be his preferred destination. Though the youngster has not publicly revealed his intentions to part ways with the Foals, neither
has he responded to claims made by the media.
Reus’ contract with Gladbach runs until the end of the 2012/13 seasons, and the club is interested in offering an extension to the attacker.
The 22-year-old started his fledgling career from Dortmund’s youth setup, but he was forced out of the club after suffering from physical deficiencies. He then moved to Rot Weiss, where he gradually polished his skills, and established
himself as one of the promising youngsters in the game.
Since joining the Foals, Reus has made rapid growth in his game, and has now developed into a key player for Gladbach.
Reus bagged eight goals and four assists during his first season (2009/2010) at the club, and went on to improve his record by netting 11 goals and providing nine assists the next term.
This season, the striker has scored 10 goals from only 14 league appearances thus far, and Gladbach’s title hopes are banking on his tremendous form.
If Reus is able to carry the same form into the New Year, the Foals will definitely test Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund’s title charge, who are currently the top two teams in the competition.
Gladbach are currently placed 4th in the league table, and are only four points adrift of leaders, Bayern Munich.
