The Biancoazzurri midfielder has written a goodbye letter to his fans, stating that they will always remain as his second family, and insisting that he will never forget the glorious moments at the club.
Marco Rigoni has written a letter of gratitude to the Novara fans and the club, stating that his tenure at the outfit has been most memorable, and has stressed that the three seasons with the club were the best of his career.
The midfielder spent the last season on loan to Chievo Verona, who have taken up the option to buy the player at the end of the campaign as per the loan agreement.
Rigoni opened his letter by offering his gratitude to all those people who helped him to form the happy memories during his tenure with Novara, and made it the most memorable time for him.
The central midfielder was adamant that through the successes of the recent seasons, the Biancoazzurri have not only changed their history but also glorified that of the city.
The former Juventus-man thanked Novara for the opportunity to experience all the wonderful moments, and insisted that he will remember each and every face that was part of the successful stint at the outfit.
In his writing to the fans, the 32-year-old said:
“With my heart I thank those who over these splendid three years have given me the happiest seasons of my playing career. I will not forget any of the faces of those people who worked with me and with whom I shared deep joy and difficult moments, but above
all that allowed us to change the recent history of the club and its city. I thank Novara Calcio for having allowed me to experience all this. Today I must thank the fans and friends at Novara who never let me be without their affection and support.”
Rigoni went on to stress that the experience of winning the play-offs is one for a lifetime, and insisted that he will never forget the moment.
The Chievo midfielder saluted the Novara fans, and insisted that he may walk a different path from here onwards, but they will always be with him for the rest of his life.
