Marco Scutaro might play again with San Francisco Giants – MLB Update
San Francisco Giants are preparing hard to attend this year’s Major League Baseball annual Winter Meetings in Nashville.
Their management has an agenda to bring back some of the experienced players including second baseman Marco Scutaro for the next potential Major League outing.
“I think it’s just the nature of doing business these days, Both parties want the best deal for each side. You flush out the possibilities, come to a head and try to get something done. We’re not at that point yet. At this time it’s short list, It’s more backburner stuff. We do have some ideas where we could turn. We’ve kept those people informed,” Giants' general manager Brian Sabean said.
Scutaro, before becoming free agent, played for the San Francisco Giants this past season. He showed good and consistent plays and proved his class.
His role during the middle of the season and at the last stages of the post-season showed his extraordinary skills which made him a true contributor in the Giants’ World Series winning roster.
He performed with an exceptional pace and finished with great numbers. Achieving .306 hitting average along with seven home-runs, 74 RBIs and .348 OBP, Scutaro earned appreciation from the entire Giants’ roster.
Overall, possessing ten-years of Major League experience, Scutaro has also been considered among the top second baseman currently playing in the big league.
His career .276 career hitting average along 75 home-runs, 478 RBIs and .340 OBP also makes him a good role player in Major League Baseball.
Not only Scutaro, but the Giants’ front office also wants to retain centre fielder Angel Pagan for next potential big league competition.
Both these players have performed with the best of their abilities and showed enormous courage.
Pagan, who finished with .288 hitting average along with eight homers, 56 RBIs and .338 OBP also makes him a desirable player in the Giants’ roster.
Overall Pagan possesses career hitting average of .281 along with 41 homers, 265 RBIs and .333 OBP.
Meanwhile, next few weeks will be critical when both these players will make a potential signing again with the San Francisco Giants.
