Juventus FC’s second choice goalkeeper, Marco Storari, will be staying in Turin for the upcoming 2011/12 season, despite numerous rumours regarding his possible exit from the Bianconeri. The shot-stopper’s agent, Claudio Vigorelli, revealed the news after
many weeks of speculations regarding Storari’s future.
Vigorelli, while talking to Sportal, was questioned about Storari’s future with the Turin giants and the agent replied, “My client is staying with the Bianconeri.”
Storari came to Juventus last year in June from the current Serie A champions, AC Milan, and was given a three-year contract by the Turin club. He was kept as a backup for the first choice glove-man, Gianluigi Buffon, who had suffered an injury to his back
during the 2010 FIFA World Cup. It was reckoned that the new keeper at the outfit might be able to replace the legendary Buffon. However, despite his consistent performances in Buffon’s absence, Storari remained the second choice.
The former Rossoneri goalkeeper has been lacking first team action with La Vecchia Signora as he has been competing against arguably the best goalkeeper of all time, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Gianluigi-Buffon-c14833. Buffon is regarded as a legend and he was named amongst the 125 greatest
living footballers in the world by the legendary http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Pele-c40189 himself.
SS http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roma-c31603 were scouting for a new glove-man and La Vecchia Signora’s second choice keeper attracted the fellow Serie A outfits. Roma, under new administration of Thomas R. DiBenedetto, the American entrepreneur, are keen to revamp the squad.
On the other hand, Lazio goalkeeper, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Fernando-Muslera-c13690, is on his way out to the Turkish outfit Galatasaray SK and the Aquile need a good replacement for their highly-rated shot-stopper.
Juventus are currently working on a revamp strategy in the ongoing summer transfer window and are keen to add quality players to the squad. The team is confident that 2011/12 season would witness the comeback of the Lady Killers in the European football.
