The Ireland assistant coach has admitted that the Italian inside him is happy that his national team won, and believes that the Nazionale have the talent and the quality to go all the way.
Ireland assistant manager, Marco Tardelli, has been left impressed by Italy’s performance against his team, and believes that the Azzurri have what it takes to make it to Euro 2012 final.
The Nazionale beat the Boys in Green in their last match of the tournament, which when combined with Spain’s triumph over http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Croatia-c2879 saw them earn their qualification to the next round.
Tardelli insisted that apart from being a coach for Ireland he is also an Italian national, and admitted his delight at seeing his national team survive the group stage of the European tournament.

While talking to Rai Sport, the 57-year-old said:
“I am Italian and therefore happy Italy went through. It’s also disappointing, as we played well and conceded two goals from set pieces. It shouldn’t happen, but it did a few too many times in this tournament. I believe Ireland shook off a psychological
block today as well, as we played a great game.”
Tardelli went on to voice his support for his national team, insisting that the Azzurri has shown a lot of promise.

The Nazionale will face the winners of Group D in their first macth of the knockout stage of Euro 2012.
